CA Shealy, III - SCPLS, received the 2022-2023 Surveyor of the Year from the South Carolina Society of Professional Land Surveyors at its annual conference in Columbia, SC, March 2023. Shealy was nominated by the Grand Strand Chapter of SCSPLS.

 

Shealy is the owner of Shealy Land Surveying in Prosperity, SC. Prior to opening his company, Shealy began his career 1987 in the surveying industry with Keistler Engineering in Rock Hill, SC, and became licensed in 1993. He is a 1987 Clemson University graduate in Forest Management.

 

Shealy has been an active SCSPLS member for years; he is currently President Elect of the group.

​

Shealy has volunteered his time to promote the National Society of Professional Surveyors Trig-Star program with high schools in his area. Trig-Star is a competition that recognizes and rewards high school students who excel in mathematics, particularly Trigonometry & Geometry and their teachers. The goal of the program is to demonstrate practical uses for mathematics and bring greater awareness to the surveying profession.

 

He is married to Tracie and they have two adult daughters, Katherine and Jennifer.

CA is an active member in Epting UMC in Newberry, SC and has served in every capacity on church council, including Sunday school secretary, president men's club(currently), financial secretary (currently), and chairman of church council.

​

 

CA is the Past Master (1999), chaplain (2000-2001) and current treasurer (2002-present) of Amity Masonic Lodge, an officer in Newberry York Rite Bodies, and member of Newberry Shrine Club. He has served as President of the Mid State Chapter SCSPLS.

​

Shealy is an avid sportsman (when he has time).
